The FTC887 is a next-generation LTE/GNSS tracking device equipped with advanced Dead Reckoning technology, ensuring continuous and highly accurate positioning even in environments where satellite signals are partially or completely unavailable.

Thanks to its integrated accelerometer and gyroscope, the FTC887 can reliably calculate vehicle movement, direction, and distance when GNSS coverage is lost — such as inside tunnels, underground parking facilities, dense urban areas, or between tall buildings. Once GNSS connectivity is restored, the device seamlessly synchronizes and corrects the trajectory to maintain maximal accuracy.

This enhanced positioning capability makes the FTC887 exceptionally reliable for logistics, fleet management, insurance solutions, anti-theft applications, and operations requiring uninterrupted tracking performance.

Movement and Ignition Detection

• Vehicle movement is detected by the built-in accelerometer;
• The device creates a stop record if:
• The vehicle remains stationary for 1 hour and the ignition is off;
• Ignition is detected when the vehicle’s power voltage is between 13.2 V and 30 V;

Record Transmission to Server

• Every 120 seconds, the device sends all newly generated records to the server;
• The device generates a movement record when any of the following conditions occur:
• Every 300 seconds while moving;
• Vehicle turns 10 degrees;
• Vehicle drives 100 meters;
• Speed difference between the last and current coordinates exceeds 10 km/h;
• After successful SMS configuration, the FTC887 synchronizes time and uploads records to the configured server;

Device fastening

• Locate the vehicle battery. Remove the cover if needed;
• Use the double-sided tape on the back of the device to attach it to the battery, ensuring the GNSS antenna and LED indicators face upward;

Connecting the power source

• Connect the device’s power wire directly to the positive battery terminal;

Connecting the ground wire

• Connect the ground wire to the vehicle frame or a fixed metal component;
• If using a bolt, attach the loop terminal to the wire;
• Connect the ground wire directly to the negative battery terminal;

Troubleshooting

• Device does not turn on;
• Ensure the power supply voltage is within 10–30 V DC;
• Avoid overvoltage and ensure proper installation according to mounting recommendations;

Inability to receive GPS signals

• Ensure the device is mounted facing the correct direction;
• Check that it is not covered by metal surfaces or thick materials;
